As usual the working weekend will follow the Skye meet as this has proved to be successful over many years. I did consider altering plans this year because I have a clash of dates. Mike Ferguson has tempted me to join his group on a cycling trip to Catalonia and we do not return until 6 October. I discussed alternatives for the working meet with the Committee recently but the feeling was to leave the meet as it is because enough people know what to do without me there to organise them. However, it does mean that this year the usual catering service will not be offered. I will be in touch with the Skye group and with anyone else who joins the working meet to go over what needs to be done. This will mainly be the usual gardening and general cleaning inside and out. As ever, hedge trimmers will be especially useful if anyone is able to bring one to the meet. Apologies from me to all involved for not being present this year - and thanks in anticipation. Catering update Ellie Howarth has kindly offered to provide catering for the working meet. I will be discussing arrangements with Ellie and Gary Bunting and I will be in touch during September with all those intending to help on the working meet.
