I’ve now confirmed the club booking at the ‘Lazy Crofter’ hostel in Durness and to date, some 15 members and their guests have indicated that they’re up for what could just be the most Northerly UK mainland meet the club has ever organised. Durness is in an area rich in geological and historical interest with excellent walking, cycling, scrambling, and climbing opportunities, in some of Scotland’s most fascinating scenery. Incidentally, it’s also where John Lennon used to spend his childhood summer holidays. Because of the distance, some attendees may wish to break their journeys at Craigallan and John Patrick is aware of this. The hostel sleeps 20 and I need to confirm numbers by the end of February, so please let me know if you’d like to join us. I look forward to seeing you there
