High Camp

Just back from a great weekend celebrating High Moss’s 50th. And as we sat on the steps, drinks in hand, reminiscing about past epics and looking forward to new adventures, I thought why not combine this year’s High Camp with another HM bash. So, this is an invitation for everyone who was at the party and for all you unfortunates who missed out first time round. Come and join me at High Moss and- if you will Harter Fell. The plan is for people to arrive Friday evening or Saturday morning. No communal meal on Friday though I’ll see what I can do about homemade cake, but do bring beer and whatever, so we can carry on with the High Moss celebrations. An afternoon walk up Harter Fell on Saturday to continue the festivities there, then back to HM for bacon butties etc on Sunday. And even if camping high is not your thing, come anyway there’s always plenty to do at High Moss. I’ve booked the hut for the whole weekend. Please let me know if you’re coming and whether you’re bunking at HM, camping in the garden, camper/caravanning at Turner Hall Farm or doing something different. Oh and if you say you’ll be there on Friday, I promise you’ll get some cake. Carole Smithies
