It’s always risky introducing friends to friends. They may have nothing in common or, worse still, get on far too well without you. Nevertheless, I thought that it would be fun to take the risk and invite my hut-less friends at Kendal Mountaineering Club to Craigallan for some early-season rock climbing in the company of like-minded members of the Rucksack Club. The weather will, no doubt, suggest the most suitable crags and the members present the best lines on them. I’m hoping for a balanced throng and that we can mix it up a bit ... being on a rope with someone you met just an hour earlier is quite the icebreaker. I hope you can come along, tick off a long-awaited classic or share a favourite route with someone new.
