It is a few years since we had a club walk up Pendle so I am organising a late autumn walk up this famous Lancashire landmark. Meet at Chester Avenue car park near Clitheroe railway station for a 9-15 start. At the time of writing the car park is free on Sundays. The route that I intend to take is out by Mearley Hall, then steeply up to the Clayton cairn, along the moor to the trig point and down to Barley. The return route will be by Twiston Moor and Downham. The distance is about 14 miles.
