An A-B walk. Please use grid ref to find New Mills Central. OS Dark Peak Explorer map. Grid Reference SK 997 854. All day parking £2.50 drop down steep lane to Station and car park. Meet at 8 am for an easy start along River Goyt before tackling Chinley Churn, head over to Swines and then back, down to Edale, Hope, Bamford, Hathersage and skid to a halt at Grindleford station, where hopefully there will be time to visit the cafe. There are lots of opportunities to jump ship by jumping onto a train, along the way. One of those is a pun but now I’m confusing things. Total distance of walk about 21 miles. Please contact me the week before the walk if you intend to come as delay’s, strikes etc. may drastically alter my plans.
