Ullswater Skyline. Ben Llewellyn
This round of Ullswater aims to take in most of the hills surrounding the lake in an anticlockwise direction, starting and finishing in Pooley Bridge. Meet just outside of the village at NY478235 aiming to set off at 7 a.m. The route weaves through the low lying north end of the lake to Gowbarrow Fell, the first hill of the day. From there the route roughly includes (you can fill in the gaps yourself!) - Stybarrow Dodd, Helvellyn, Dollywagon Pike, Fairfield, Kirkstone Pass, High Street, Loadpot Hill then down to the starting point. The route is expected to be around 35 miles (with quite a lot of ascent!). Accommodation can be provided at our house in Penruddock the nights before and after, I will provide an evening meal on the Saturday and there will be some support at Kirkstone Pass.
