See the Handbook for details of how to use the huts.
In addition the FRCC have amended the arrangements for use of their huts, as laid out below.
The FRCC to have the use of 7 wonderful huts in outstanding locations. Two in Scotland, Karn House (Aviemore) and Waters Cottage (Kinlochleven). The 5 Lake District huts are in Borrowdale, Langdale, Wasdale, Buttermere and Patterdale. A Kindred Club (KC) member may book beds in a FRCC hut for him/herself and up to 6 guests aged 11+. (Guests of KC members pay the relevant guest fee not the KC fee.)
KC clubs and members will be able to hold a club meet or book more than 6 beds by prior arrangement with the Hut warden up to a limit of 50% of the male, the female, and the mixed beds in the hut. We have also altered our booking arrangements for the old Civil Defence Building (annexe) on our Waters cottage site at Kinlochleven to allow for block bookings (including with children) of a 10-bed room, from April to January.
KC members may book a bed in a FRCC hut while they are working, but may not use the huts for commercial purposes. (Strictly no clients staying in the huts, for example) To Book: Contact the hut warden by email, preferably giving 5 days notice, although later applications are accepted whenever possible. You will receive confirmation and a code to access a key safe outside the hut. No deposit necessary (except for large groups).
