A special thanks to Bill Deakin Steve Gregory and Granville Toyn for making the Beudy weekend such a great success. It was great to see so many members dropping in for a cup of tea or staying overnight and sampling Granvilles fantastic food . The sun shone, lots of climbing and walking done to commemorate a very special occasion.

Just to remind everyone who booked a room at the Royal Victoria Hotel Llanberis for the Annual dinner the Bed and Breakfast rate is £45 per person per night. This is a reduction on what on what was previously advertised and all bookings made prior to August, will reflect this new rate. I am pleased to report 96 people have signed up for this years dinner so it should be a good bash !

Just an update on the Annual Dinner , 95 Members and Guests have signed up for this years event. The Hotels Restaurant will be available for use on the Friday night , just book a table on arrival. Please can members bringing camper vans, make use of the large car park next door to the Hotel and opposite the Snowden Mountain Railway. Free parking is available in a nearby layby or the Lagoon area at the other end of Llanberis. Mike Rhodes talk on the South West Face of Everest Expedition will start at 9 pm on the Friday night , all welcome.

A quick update, I have received 66 applications so far and booking forms are available on the new website. Please let me have these back by 20th October so I can inform the Hotel of numbers and menu preferences.

The committee of the Rucksack Club wishes to establish the above post as a matter of priority. If any member of the club, has experience of marketing/communications and social media, has time to spare and would like to be involved in this exciting project, please contact myself or John Farrow, Rucksack Club Secretary.
