In view of the weather forecast for tomorrow evening (i.e. BBC weather app is showing 60 – 70% chance of rain and thunderstorms at Stoney) it does not seem to be worth holding the meet. Just wanted to let you know that the Rock Climbing meet at High Moss this weekend has been cancelled. The forecast for the Lakes this weekend is looking very poor.

Just wanted to remind everyone about the climbing meet this weekend at High Moss. Hopefully the high crags will be in condition and we will be able to climb on Esk Buttress and/or Dow. For those who are not keen on a long approach walk (or if the weather is not so good on the fells) there is plenty scope on Wallowbarrow, Stonestar, Brandy Crag or Burnt Crag . If conditions are poor on Sunday there is always the option of stopping off somewhere on the way home (e.g. Trowbarrow, Giggleswick, or even the wall at Kendal !) Hope you can make it.
