I intend to try to link various cycle trails in the Derbyshire Dales into one ride, hoping
to visit the Tissington, High Peak, Monsdale and Manifold Trails.
The trails tend to be old railway lines so are fairly flat, however the linking road bits
might not be that flat! Road surfaces are variable, a bit rough in places, but will be
suitable for all bikes including road bikes, as long as they’re not new £7000 Pinarellos!
Total distance is likely to be approximately 75 miles, but there will be plenty of cut-off
options plus cafe stops etc. The starting point is Parsley Hey car park SK 146 637, off the
A515 Buxton to Ashbourne Road, at 9 a.m. There is a parking charge of £4.75 per day.
