Northern Rail are currently planning to strike again on Saturday 20th October.
To arrive in time for the 0745 start it seems that only Macclesfield is affected, but the 0655 from Stockport connects to Greenfield in time.
The suggested 2130-ish return trains still look to be running although Preston requires a slightly earlier departure from the pub:
2137 to Piccadilly (arriving 2159)
2137 to Huddersfield (arriving 2259)
2137 to Sheffield (arriving 2309)
2102 to Preston (arriving 2317)
