Beudy Mawr 75th anniversary meet this weekend

A bit of an update. At present, all the bunks in the hut have been taken and, if everyone turns up who has said they want to attend the anniversary meal on Saturday, there will be 23! Granville will be cooking and we’ve gone for a typical 1940s menu. If you are coming, don’t forget any other provisions, drinks and a pillow!
The forecast is looking good, which prompts me to suggest that if any climbers want to repeat the routes done on the 1948 weekend, they need to do Trilon and Crackstone Rib on the Wastad, Nea and the ‘Great Flake’ (now the first pitch of Sickle)on the Grochan, Spiral Stairs, Tributary Crack (up and down) and Parchment Passage (down) on the Cromlech, The Cracks on the Mot, Gambit Climb on Clogwyn y Ddysgl and Avalanche/Red Wall/Longlands and Paradise on Lliwedd. Phew – there’s a challenge!
Whilst no walks were recorded in the log book that weekend, I cannot believe that such an occasion would not be marked without forays over into Ogwen and across to Yr Wyddfa.
