Well – for a start, we’ve now got full fibre broadband at Beudy, so you can now check the weather forecast, the bus timetables and look at the latest mountain safety information. Oh, and you can doomscroll to your heart’s content! Due to the thickness of the walls, the signal does not reach the shower block, so those of you who habitually read the digital paper whilst sat on the toilet won’t be able to (it’s a disgusting habit anyway!). I’m sure I can rely on you to use the facility wisely and tactfully.
The Committee has also approved the proposal to split the big dormitory into two smaller spaces, each sleeping 4 (or maybe 5) people. This is an attempt to increase the attractiveness of Beudy to smaller groups who might want their own space – families, genders, snorers, etc. The work will be carried out towards the end of the year when usage is even quieter than normal. Lets see how it goes!
And – I’ve saved the best until the last – there is a dual tray airfryer in the kitchen! It’s already had the thumbs up from lots of people (well, they both said it was good). You don’t get airfryers in any other of the huts, so come and try it!
