Beudy at New Year – update

I’ve heard from the following people who intend coming to Beudy for the New Year weekend:- Kate and Boece Cardus, Karen and George Hostford, Sue Whittle and Neil Harwood, Chris Foster and Helen, Guy Fox-Kelly, Barbara and myself. Others who have told me they might turn up are Steve Gregory (if the ice in Scotland is no good to climb), John Warby (if the NYE gig doesn’t happen) and Dave Cowans. Cec will definitely NOT be coming as he will be sat by the phone, waiting for that call from the agency about that lucrative NYE shift on the railway! Let me know if you want to join in the fun(?!). As I’ve said before, its very informal – bring something to eat and drink; I’ll make sure the fire is kept in until 2018. Bill PS Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

Beudy this New Year

Hello everyone who has already shown an interest in going (and anyone else for that matter – you are all welcome). Barbara and I intend travelling down on New Years Eve, although we know that Kate and Boece will be there from the day before. The arrangements are very relaxed – we’ll be taking a couple of veggie bakes for people to share. If you are coming, bring a seasonal dish (and drink) of your choice. Oh, and do let me know, so that I can chop enough wood to keep the fires going until well into 2018!

Beudy Mawr – possible disruption to water supply

I have just been advised by Welsh Water that the water supply to Beudy may be disrupted this weekend. WW have had reports from other users about loss of pressure and WW are doing some works to try and rectify the problem. Please note that it is only a possibility and by the time you read this the problem may well have been sorted. However, and just in case, watch out for loss of pressure (particularly using the showers) and you may get some brownish water coming through if WW have had to turn the supply off. When there has been an issue in the past, I’ve filled the kettles up from the stream!
