Problem 1. The boiler has packed up so there is no hot water at present. We are waiting for the parts so the plumber can sort it out – hopefully the system will be operating by this time next week.
Problem 2. Not really a problem, more of a rant. Between last Saturday and yesterday morning, someone’s vehicle has hit the wooden post protecting the low stone wall. It must have been with some force because the post was knocked into the wall itself, shunting the whole thing forward by about 6 inches. Accidents happen but no one has owned up or left a note. I’ve repositioned the post so even the stupidest driver can see it, assuming they know how to use their mirrors! Rant over.
