Weather’s looking good for the Bank Holiday. Anybody out climbing this weekend (not at the Craigallan meet) with room for a spare ! Cheers.

Mike Zeidan has booked the hut for the weekend of 16/17 June.

I’ve just been to have a look. It’s a bit cool in the breeze but the rock is dry. See you all later.

There are a couple of people staying the odd day or so this week. The place is empty then until the May Day weekend when the OBEC club have reserved exclusive use of the hut for their 52nd consecutive annual meet! Empty again until Spring Bank weekend when Cec Rhodes is running an ‘alternative’ meet for those who cannot make Inken’s meet i.n Scotland. In June there is the working meet on 2nd/3rd, then the hut is empty until 6th/7th July (Elizabeth Wilson’s Meet) apart from Ed Bartlett who has booked 2 spaces for the 30th of June. After that, the hut is empty until October, apart from Audrey Russell’s Anglesey Coastal Path meet on 21/22 July when some people might be using the hut on the Friday and Sunday. So, all in all, a pretty empty schedule for you all to plan your trips around!

I will be making a pitch inspection tomorrow morning and will be in touch.

KALYMNOS ” sport climbing “IN MAY. Mike Warwick and myself are planning a 2 week trip in early May,if you want to clip bolts and drink lots of beer and eat great food in the sunshine join us.Manchester to Kos flight then ferry across to the island.MIke is looking at accomodation /flights for the first 2 weeks in May.Any takers.??

A special thanks to Bill Deakin Steve Gregory and Granville Toyn for making the Beudy weekend such a great success. It was great to see so many members dropping in for a cup of tea or staying overnight and sampling Granvilles fantastic food . The sun shone, lots of climbing and walking done to commemorate a very special occasion.
