I have booked Forest Way bunkhouse at Inverlael, south of Ullapool, for 4 nights arriving 7th April 2023. The accommodation is as follows. 2 x bunkroom for 4, each with its own showerroom, ie 8 persons. £72.50 for the 4 nights. 1 x House room for 3 containing a double bed and a single bed, with its own en suite facilities. Hi folks, I have set up a group on WhatsApp for cyclists.  To join, you can use the link that is on the Club Facebook page, or message/email me and I will add you.  Hoping to use this to arrange ad hoc rides to make use of weather windows.  We will have to observe the current guidelines for social distancing and cafes, but this is unlikely to be a problem.  Thanks Ellie

Hi All, Will Rupp and Felix Terrell, recipients of the first Rucksack Club grant, are going to present some photos of their expedition climbing in Madagascar. It’s at the usual venue, Heaton Moor Sports Club, on 3rd December at 7.30pm, and it is FREE entry!! It’s a Club night so there is no poster. Does anyone have a lectern or a music stand that I could borrow for our speaker to use on 5th February please? Ideally one which could have a light clipped to it if it hasn’t already got one. Please email or use my landline as my mobile is kaput. Thanks

Another bit of forward planning: if you are interested in a week hutting in the Presanella / Adamello area followed by a week of via ferrata and hutting in the Brenta Dolomites please get in touch. The first week is 31st August to 7th Sept and will not be in the AAC newsletter. The second week is 7-15th September and will be in the AAC newsletter. I will limit the second week to 8, as larger groups are harder to deal with, both on the ground and in terms of booking huts. You can do either week or both weeks, or fit it in with your other plans.
