Amongst the ongoing work at High Moss Boece has fitted a new fireplace in the dining room and it looks good. Over Christmas Bookings are 25th to the 28th 3 Beds booked. 29th December 8 beds booked, 30th 11 beds booked, 31st 11 beds booked. 1st January 11 beds booked. 2nd January around 16 beds booked. 3rd January 8 beds booked. 4th January 8 beds booked. So there is room if anyone fancies a few days away. 25th / 26th January Buxton M.C. 12 beds booked. Friday 8th / 9th March North Kingston M.C. 10 beds booked. Sunday 7th April to Thursday 11th Fell and Rock. Full Hut. Friday 14th / 15th June Gritstone Club 10 beds. Friday 21st / 22nd June Leeds M.C.

Welsh Hut Meet with a difference – 15th – 17th March 2019

If you fancy exploring a slightly different part of North Wales then come and join me on this Meet. I’ve booked The Mynydd Club Hut in the Crafnant Valley (http://mynydd.org.uk/hut-information/) for the weekend. I’ll be organising a walk on the Saturday plus there’s also lots of great bike trails and climbing in the area. I’ll provide a meal on the Saturday evening, but please bring your own liquid refreshments. Beudy bookings update

This coming weekend (7th-9th), Reading MC have booked 12 places for their annual get together in Wales. There are no other bookings as yet in December except that Barbara and I will be going to Beudy probably on New Years Eve and staying for a day or so. You are very welcome to join us. No problem if you want to go earlier/stay later. It will be a similar arrangement to last year – bring your own food and drink and do what you want. In January, Gareth Llewellyn is running a Club Meet on the weekend of 19th/20th. See Meetstaff or contact Gareth for details. Jim Paxman has booked 6 places for the weekend of 26th/27th. Hotpot Walk and Christmas Quiz

Sat 8th Dec 2018 Hoping you’ll join me for our Annual Hotpot Walk from Bamford Anglers Rest Pub (departing 10.00am) to Edale and back. In line with the heady days of the late 70’s, this year we are able to convene in an Edale hostelry (The Rambler) around lunchtime for refreshment. If you wish to return to Bamford during the afternoon by train…..they are every hour 14.32, 15.32, 16.32. Cost 4.00 or £2.65 with Senior Railcard. Week of 19 – 25 Nov 2018 Wednesday Walk: 12.5ml from roadside A625 Hope Church [173835] via Win Hill, Hope Cross, Jaggers Clough, Edale, Lose Hill. Pub Nag’s Head, Edale. Details Ray Grover. Update on parking from Ray Glover 19/11/18: The designated parking by the church in Hope is quite limited, so we will start the walk from the pay and display car park which is along the man road about 150m to the west. Although the walk is not very long (about 12 miles) there will be 750m of ascent. Wednesday evening climbing: This week returns to the usual venue of Awesome Walls, Stockport from 6pm and afterwards atThe Railway, Avenue Street, Stockport SK1 2BZ.
