I’m away from the bookings calendar until the 15th October. If you want to book, please let Steven Gregory know. The latest bookings picture is: October – available throughout until 26/27/28 when Jackie and Mark Hatton will be running their Meet. Please contact them for details. November – 10 places have been booked by OBEC for the weekend of 3/4. Beudy is available for Members and their guests on the Club Dinner weekend (10/11) – 6 places have already been reserved. Let me or Steven know if you would like a place(s). Chris Foster’s Mines Meet is on the following weekend (17/18) and Audrey Russell’s is the weekend after (24/25). Contact Chris and Audrey for details. December – Reading MC have booked 12 places for the weekend of 8/9. Otherwise, Beudy is available until the New Year Meet, beginning on the 29th.

Hi All, I have received an email from Ken Tebay of the LCCC about their programme of lectures. We have a lecture on 13 Nov , titled TEN NOT OUT by Robert Mcdonald. One man’s account of his tenth round of the Monroes. (£3-00 on the door). We also have THE BRIT ROCK FILM TOUR on 26 Feb (ticket only £7–00 Both start at 7-30 at the Bradshaw Conservative Club . After a mostly magnificent summer, it’s that time of year to head indoors on Wednesday’s. I will hopefully see many people there, starting tonight. Same thing as last year, the meets are at Stockport Awesome Walls. [I’ve just noticed that these meets don’t appear on the meets list. That will be fixed soon.] John

Quick update before disappearing to the Isle of Skye , 61 people have signed up so far for the Annual Bash. Application forms can be downloaded off this website or can be found in previous copies of meetstaff , happy adventuring to everyone !

Yes, I know Easter’s a long way off, and Durness is a long way away, but if you were to join my Easter Meet next year you could participate in what might just be the most Northerly UK mainland meet the club has ever organised. Durness is in an area rich in geological and historical interest with excellent walking, cycling, scrambling, and climbing opportunities in some of Sotland’s most fascinating scenery. Incidentally, it’s also where John Lennon used to spend his childhood Summer holidays. I have booked exclusive use of the “Lazy Crofter ” hostel, which sleeps 20, for four nights from 19th April, 2019. Some 10 members have already expressed an interest so please let me know if you would also like to join us – my contact details are in the Members Handbook.
